Moon Phase Today
The moon's phase is calculated live from its 29.5-day cycle. Each phase supports a different kind of work: here is where the sky stands right now, and what it is asking of you.
:
The eight phases and their work
The cycle is a rhythm of building and releasing. New and waxing phases are for starting and attracting; the full moon is the peak: visibility, culmination, gratitude; waning phases are for clearing, forgiving, and letting go. The dark of the moon (just before the new moon) is for rest and inward work.
What this phase supports
- New Moon: set intentions, start something, plant a seed.
- Waxing Crescent: take the first visible step; momentum builds.
- First Quarter: push through friction; make a decision.
- Waxing Gibbous: refine, adjust, prepare for the peak.
- Full Moon: celebrate, harvest, release what is finished.
- Waning Gibbous: share what you learned; give back.
- Last Quarter: forgive, clear, complete what is unresolved.
- Waning Crescent: rest, dream, surrender before the new cycle.
