Witch Name Generator
A craft name is a tool, not a title: a name for the part of you that works. Generate until one fits.
Why take a craft name
Some practitioners take a name to mark the beginning of the path; others to separate the working self from the everyday one; others simply because a name that fits is a pleasure to carry. There is no rule about when or whether. The name can be kept private, used in circle only, or worn openly: it is yours to decide.

Frequently asked questions
Can I change my witch name later?
Yes. Names are tools, and tools get replaced when they no longer fit. Many practitioners change names at major turns in their path.
Should my witch name be secret?
In some traditions, yes: the craft name is used only within the circle, and sharing it is seen as giving away power. In others it is public. Follow the tradition you practice, or choose for yourself.
